At the masjid I went to this week for Friday Prayer the imam gave a very poignant observation He talked about the fact that the Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings be Upon him, was routinely harassed and insulted in Mecca during the time he was preaching there. Never did he tell his followers to blindly attack, protest, destroy, etc.
What we are seeing of a incredibly small percentage of Muslims hitting the streets and even killing people is an incredibly perverse response that make me suspect as to the truth behind this whole thing. On this, I am siding with the people who think that there is a clear cover-up, something far more sinister at play. I can say that I have no idea what that might be. I can only say that the truth is likely stranger than the fiction being sold to us on the cable and network news.
